Just before the footie starts, I have to mention Cathy Lomax's latest edition of Arty, one of the main inspirations for tangent. Arty has been going for 21 issues (count 'em - 21 issues! now that's impressive.) and in the time it's been around, it's gone from strength to strength.

The latest issue ushers in a new era, with a new A4, two-colour format. I find it really inspiring that Cathy has so successfully made this a piece of work - a part of her art practice. It's evolved over time and continues to be something that is substantial, thought-provoking and lovely to look through.

Long live Arty! Go buy one now - and while you're at it, check out the excellent Garageland, also published by Transition Editions.
